Youths who excel above the bar usually combine academic excellence in class with extraordinary dedication to service outside the class. In addition to her high-quality community service engagements, Mekdi engaged in fashion design as a non-profit initiative under Creativity in CCAS, with Jah Kente International in her senior year in high school, 2023-2024.
Mekdi approached Fashion from an anthropological perspective, the study of culture and society, and as an economic enterprise in the creative economy. Mekdi is multitalented. She graduated from Parkmont School in 2024 and was accepted by Princeton University on a full four-year Fulbright Scholarship. More goods arrived. She became a Milken scholar.
