Government, Public Administration, Global Politics, Diplomacy, and Foreign Affairs is a highly interactive and transdisciplinary Internship and Career Readiness program that draws from various social sciences and humanities disciplines. It is a transdisciplinary program involving multiple disciplines in a co-equal partnership with the most potential to respond to new and emerging human problems and opportunities. It differs from multidisciplinary work involving several disciplines whose contributions to a project are largely additive rather than integrative.
The program offers a compelling experience for youths who desire knowledge and want to explore how the world works, how it relates to them, and the dynamics that influence or resist change. It is ideal for outgoing, socially and intellectually curious, and engaged high school students who enjoy teamwork and are international-minded.
Interns gain knowledge and skills through hands-on, real-world experiences in real workplace environments for personal and professional development. The program acknowledges the future of educational innovation that transcends disciplinary boundaries and explicitly inculcates our youths with new, holistic conceptual and theoretical understandings of important problems stemming from our deep and co-equal collaborations. As our world continues to become more complicated, technology-aided, ethically challenging, and collaborative, we owe it to our youths to present them with transdisciplinary opportunities that actualize their knowledge, understanding, and leadership
